Sound Matters...It's coming
A lot has happened in the month of May. We were in the process of finalizing the audio file for Jaxyl Warrior Princess when my husband unexpectedly passed away. As you can imagine, this really took me out of commission, but working with the very talented Kat Doll has been an exceptional experience. Her voice is pure and sweet and really immerses you into the story. She has been so gracious under the circumstances, and I hope you will check out the newly released audio version of the book.
To emphasize my point of how important sound is, I’m sharing this short video of a steam chase my husband and I went on last September as we followed the Union Pacific Big Boy, because there is no sweeter sound than a real steam engine surging down the rails. For many years, we followed a shared passion for steam trains and risked life and limb to chase these amazing machines across the landscape of America.
As readers, we all have our favorite delivery manner. Some of us prefer the visceral feel of turning the pages and holding the book in our hands, while others, myself included, enjoy the ease of using a Kindle or other eBook device. And then there are the audio people. Those who prefer to listen while they garden, ride a bike, or travel.
Audio is especially immersive in a different way, so even if you’ve already read the second book in The Tales of Merth trilogy I hope you check out the audio version as well, because sound matters.
