Defy Convention
With a little help from my friends
So, we had a new person in our writer’s group the other day. And when it came time for me to read, I laughed and explained being immersed in the revision of Return to Merth, the third and final book of the Tales of Merth trilogy, and there was no way I could ‘place’ her in the story.
Then Wendy Taylor Carlisle, my dear friend and a fabulous poet spoke up and shared some of the details with our newbie. I quietly pulled out my phone and got much of it on video. And while there were some incorrect statements, I thought she did a really great job. So, I’d like to share that with you now.
Revisions and final edits are in the works now, and I do have a cover, which I’m not supposed to reveal yet, until I make a big fuss over it. But since you are so kind as to be a subscriber, I am sharing it now. Artist Teressa Pelliccio DeVito has once again ‘nailed it’, and I am so proud of her artistic vision of the book. This is perhaps my favorite book of the trilogy. Keep in mind they are all designed to be read independently, and do not have to be read in sequence.
The cover features Jaxyl Warrior Princess and her lover, Xyantuli, from the ‘Time of Ancient Thoughts and Opinions."
